A beautiful dark red wood suitable for furniture and cabinets, it is also prized for percussion instruments and guitar inlays. Burr wood has an interesting grain and contains knots and splits. It may require stabilising.

Our turning blanks are carefully selected by our expert staff. The quality control inspection ensures our blanks are split and shake free. Every blank has hot wax applied to the end grain and edges to prevent end splitting through the drying process. This ensures your finished object will be stable when brought into a centrally heated environment.
