Yew (Taxus baccata)
The heartwood is a dark golden/orange brown, sometimes streaked with purple. Desirable for turning, joinery and furniture making. Internal and external use.
Full of character with some bits of live edge, mix of heart and sapwood – will have cracks and splits and shakes, voids etc. Would be ideal for stabilising with resin.
