London Plane (Platanus x acerifolia)

The timber of the London Plane is varied in its appearance ranging from a light pinkish tan to a darker reddish brown. It is uniquely exotic for a homegrown timber with its distinctive ray flecks. The wood is commonly used for veneers, interior trim, furniture, carvings, and other small wood objects.
