With its pale creamy-yellow colouring and lustrous grain pattern, sycamore is becoming ever more popular. Sycamore is fairly easy to work with and is used for veneer, boxes, musical instruments, turned objects, and other small specialty wood items. Our Sycamore is British grown.

Our turning blanks are carefully selected by our expert staff. The quality control inspection ensures our blanks are split and shake free. Every blank has hot wax applied to the end grain and edges to prevent end splitting through the drying process. This ensures your finished object will be stable when brought into a centrally heated environment.
