Heartwood is a light to medium brown, though there can be a fair amount of variation in colour. Nearly white to light brown sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Quartersawn sections display prominent ray fleck patterns.
Grade may contain knots, shape, some splits, evidence of worm holes (treated)
Character grade oak, 24mm thick, one square and one live edge, skimmed both faces.
