Heartwood is a light to medium brown, though there can be a fair amount of variation in colour. Nearly white to light brown sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Quartersawn sections display prominent ray fleck patterns.
Grade may contain knots, some splits, historic worm holes (treated)
Character grade oak, 42mm thick, two live edges, skimmed both faces.
