Our oak-framed buildings are available in many different designs, made from quality European Oak, and sold in kits for easy assembly without a softwood component in sight.
With the weather gradually letting go of its traditional resentment for the British Isles, now is a great time for garden-based or home improvements, such as oak framed extensions.
An outside room now frequently features as part of the home office culture and adds value to your home as well. This past year, having a garden room office has become invaluable for some working from home. Timber frames suits them perfectly and can be made to bespoke sizes too.

European Oak Wood Properties
The priorities with these timber frame kits are durability and quality. We needed timber that was fit for purpose: hard, durable and ideally familiar to work with.
For this reason, we went with an old staple and a speciality of ours: European Oak.
Extremely strong, dense, durable and resistant to shrinkage, oak also resists well to fungal attacks, which makes it less prone to decay and rotting. Considered one of the finest and sturdiest materials to work with in woodworking, its flexibility makes it desirable for artistic pieces as well as complex architectural projects. We can also use Douglas Fir components for internal or external cladding, resulting in a lovely contrast with Oak.
Oak Framed Garage & Shed
Everyone needs somewhere to escape to and geek out once in a while. Whether you need the extra space for cars or a ping-pong tournament, these garden structures are durable and can be made as spacious as you like.
Cut from green oak and made to order, all joints, mortices and dowel holes are pre-cut and drilled, with dowels supplied.

There’s necessity, such as garden sheds, and then there’s leisure, and we can also help. We offer kits and various designs for a sunroom, conservatory, garden rooms and orangeries.
Oak Garden Buildings
It doesn’t stop there. Our kits also include smaller buildings designed to structure and luxuriate your gardens for outdoor living, such as hot tub frames, pergolas and barbeque houses. Oak Framed House, Office & Studio
Our kits come in all shapes and sizes to fit the various purposes you would have for them. From simple pergola structures to barn-like offices, we can supply the timber to build your project, whether that’s a workshop, home office or a music studio.
For larger projects especially, it is important to note that the groundworks (including a 230mm brick plinth) must be ready prior to delivery. As our builds are from green oak, it is important that it is constructed as soon as possible after delivery to ensure that the joints go together well.
All the oak is based on a fresh-sawn QP1 grade and can be graded to BS5756 if required.
NB: Oak is a natural material, so parts that are exposed to light will, in time, go a silvery grey and splits and cracks will appear. However, this will not affect the structure’s integrity.
