We have been involved in numerous restoration projects over many decades. These include The Natural History Museum, Kensington Palace and Westminster Abbey.

We can work with you to ensure we source suitable matching timbers or alternatives. Often we have found original timber species that have been in place for hundreds of years are either no longer available or are illegal to trade. When this occurs we will try to find an alternative species to match in with the project.

Often we are asked to match a profile, perhaps a skirting detail. On many occasions these would have been created with a hand moulding plane. Modern machines are brilliant innovations, but sometimes they cannot exactly match a profile that was cut by hand. But we will get as near as possible to the original profile and design.

We will visit site to better understand your requirements where necessary.
