Chainlink Fencing to separate Ash Common

The Ash Ranges, a significant area of open dry heathland, is owned by the Ministry of Defence and managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust. It is home to many beautiful and unique plants and animals but is also an active military area and firing range. In order to make it clearer to explorers where is safe and not safe for them to walk, our fencing division PRO Fencing were brought on board to set up chainlink fencing.

Steel Wire Fencing at Ash Ranges - PRO Fencing Surrey

This is the second project PRO Fencing were hired to complete for Surrey Wildlife Trust, having won a tender that had been provided to five competing steel wire and fencing companies in Surrey. The purpose here was to provide a walking corridor through part of Ash Common, so walkers do not walk into any of the areas that are used for firing ranges – making it a safer space for all. We began this second phase in the second week of January, completing in late February, with a small delay due to the ranges being in use frequently.

Often used for school fencing, sporting grounds or commercial property, chainlink fencing is a popular choice for a professional, functional and lightweight option to zone off an area.  If you require chainlink fencing in Surrey, Hampshire or West Sussex,  get in touch with PRO Fencing, our fencing division, to discuss your requirements.
