Downley House – South Downs

A local businessman approached us after he had purchased a derelict flint house which sits on the South Downs way. His design entailed demolishing all but the front facade of the old house, stabilising the facade and building a contemporary house behind it.

We were approached to supply oak beams to create a pergola outside the entrance to the house. We sourced character grade oak to profile the external cladding. The project was achieved over a number of months and the finish enabled the house to blend into the South Downs.
