At W L West & Sons Ltd, we are able to offer an extensive range of workshop services for machined timbers. We have standard ‘in house’ profiles, examples are shown further down this page.
Our workshops use a Weinig Unimat 1000. This is a fully computer controlled moulder. To give the very best quality to our customers, we manufacture our own tooling either to our own design or to customers design requirements. Controlling all of the tooling in-house allows us to closely control quality and finish of the machined timber.
To complement this we have also installed a Weinig Cube 4 sided planer. This enables us to provide a fast turnaround on planed all round work.
A new addition to our stable of woodworking machines is a Felder 5 Axis CNC. This enables us to machine complex shapes in timber, from curves to ovals to key holes. Together with a heated press for veneer work and edgebander for lippings, this stable of machines can meet a variety of projects. These machines were part funded through Leader from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Finishing is also an option using our in-house spray facility. Using water based products we can achieve a very fine finish.
Machine Profiles
We are able to machine a wide range of profiles for a variety of end uses. Flooring, Skirtings, Scotia, Dado rails, Door and door frame components, machine timbers for Conservatories to name but a few. It would be impossible to provide a comprehensive list, so give our sales team a call, if we do not have a similar profile to meet your needs, we do have the technology to make the profile you require
The profiles shown below are for example only and do not provide an exhaustive list (not to scale), with well over 200 different profile cutters available, we are sure that we will be able to meet your requirement. Prices will alter with the size of the run, the larger the run the lower the price. Please ask the sales team for details.
